We are looking for experienced Mechanical Engineer for our client Vaisala Oyj. You will be working at Vaisala’s Industrial Measurement business area in project focusing on power transformer monitoring products. The position is permanent and located in Vantaa.
In this position your tasks include mechanics design of the product. You will implement the already identified tasks ranging from manufacturability improvements to completely new system level designs. The designs you would be working with can be an enclosure designed to protect the internals from outdoor environment, a subsystem containing active valves and pumps or an accessory kit designed to be used in specific installation. You will also ensure that the analytical performance, reliability and manufacturability requirements are met or exceeded (Design for Excellence).
Your tasks will prime you well for the future where we expect you to participate in defining the concepts for next generation of the product. In the future you also have a possibility to lead and coordinate mechanics design activities related this product.
Vaisala has a new, unique R&D and innovation center, where you will be working. The facilities provide a unique opportunity to use your hands-on experience from creating the initial prototypes of a new design all the way to testing them against the specifications.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in relevant field of study
- several years of experience in mechanical designing and product R&D projects
- hands-on and development-oriented attitude
- fluent spoken and written English, Finnish is an advantage.
